TOP OF OUR transfer tittle-tattle this afternoon is a spot of good news for Lucas Leiva and Doni.
The Brazilian pair could soon be joined on Merseyside by a compatriot as Liverpool are close to sealing the signature of Philippe Coutinho.
The 20-year-old, who can play in central midfield, out wide or as a second striker, arrived at Inter Milan from Vasco da Gama in 2010 but hasn’t made the impact he would have hoped for and spent the second half of last season on loan at Espanyol.
Going?
Wilfried Zaha has clearly made an impression on Alex Ferguson as the Manchester United boss has reportedly offered a deal which could by as much as €17m. United representatives held talks with Crystal Palace over the weekend but the Championship club have denied claims that an agreement has been made.
Going?
Newcastle United may have missed out on new QPR hero Loic Remy but that won’t stop them continuing to grow their French contingent. The Magpies’ latest attempt sees Bordeaux reject a bid for their 26-year-old striker Yoan Gouffran.
The offer is believed to be just €750,000 but they could get their man by upping it to around €1m as the former France U21 international is out of contract in six month’s time.
GONE!

Wesley Sneijder will not be calling the Premier League his new home anytime soon as the Dutchman has opted to join Turkish giants Galatasaray from Inter Milan. Naturally, he received the kind of welcoming that Tukish fans have become famous for. Not quite on the same scale as when Darius Vassell joined Ankaragucu, though.

Sneijder has become a joke which is pity
a player who signs for a huge and historic European club is a joke just because he didn’t sign for someone from “The greatest league in the world”??
Have a word with yourself and look outside of the sky sports propaganda will you..
the premiership is high octane rubbish. he’s better off in Italia.
Why not join bayern or athletico 2 clubs that were interested but were only willing to go to 120,000 a week, it’s a massive step down to play in the superlig, sure it’s a competitive competition but that does not mean its good, and as far as leagues go german and English are the best Spain is 3rd, I know il get slated for this but Spain is a 2 horse race and very rarely has a stand out team from the bottom half of the table, where as you can’t say that some of the bottom teams in the top flight in England have not played some decent footie, southhampton have been good just not able to close out games also reading have played with the right attitude and even watching Wigan go forward can be exciting to watch but Spain is just not at the level for excitement
Couthino would be massive singing for the pool he is a quality young player with massive potential, zaha is not much better than him but will end up costing united much more however zaha would be a very exciting prospect at a already very good squad, Couthino would be the building block and will take time to bed in
Yes Davy because he is 28 years of age and should be in his prime and should be testing himself in England as he has already played in other 2 ‘big leagues’ but instead he is settling for less picking up a handy wage!shown no ambition at all
Doni isn’t at Liverpool anymore. Gone out on loan I think
I thought Doni left Liverpool at the end of last season?
