SUSAN BOYLE has made international music history, with the publication of the latest album charts in the US. Her new Christmas album, The Gift, has gone straight to the top of the Billboard Hot 200 – a position it also occupies in the UK’s album sales. Her berth at the top of the US and UK album charts simultaneously marks the first time since The Beatles’ Let It Be (in 1970) that a British act has sold best on both sides of the ocean. In Ireland, it only debuted at number 5 – Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits being at the top.
