5 sporting Christmas cards that probably weren’t sent this year

But would have made sense if they were.

From the FAI

The FAI gave the Irish public an early Christmas present with the appointment of Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane but this card may have been too much for some.

From Munster

As happy as Munster were with their double over Perpignan, and despite the French side sitting bottom of the pool, there’s really no need to gloat when you’ve got the moves like JJ.

From Liverpool

After announcing in December 2012 that Liverpool would finish second last season, the Liverpool board rightly decided this card counted too many chickens.

From the Dublin County Board

Dublin could certainly afford to send this card to everyone in the county thanks to their new sponsorship deal but the ‘so-called weaker counties’ would not have been happy.

From the ERC

Though it seems as if the door is closed on their return, the ERC made a last-minute call to scrap these cards to the English and Welsh breakaway clubs in case they decide they do want to play ball.
