  • He gets paid €400,000 a year.. Its a disgrace, especially considering so many clubs are desperately in need of funding.

  • John Delaney is a national disgrace.

He gets paid €450k per year (which is twice Enda Kennys salary which itself is more than Obama gets paid ) whilst at the same time a massive amount of children play club football every week where the changing room is a discarded shipping container and there are no showers or toilets. Facilities at Irish football clubs are dreadful in this day and age and yet the FAI fatcats continue to reward themselves with huge salaries. This is the same bunch of people who were largely responsible for the conditions which created the Saipan cock up. They also wanted professional footballers to sit in economy class for 12 hours while they themselves enjoyed the extra leg room in 1st class when flying to Japan. Unbelievable.

John Delaney and his gang of FAI fatcats personify all that is wrong with this country.

  • I agree, I was unfamiliar with John Delaney until the whole Saipan saga. When I saw him being interviewed I was shocked when I realised I wasn’t watching après match.

  • I agree completely with Martin Mc, the state of Delaney, I am mortified for him. Poor Miss Italia looks less than thrilled to be posing for that photo.
