Students off the foot of the table thanks to win over Bohs

Dean Clarke’s goal was enough to hand UCD a massive three points at the Belfield Bowl tonight.

UCD HAVE PULLED themselves up into 10th place after beating Bohemians in the Airtricity League Premier Division’s only game at the Belfield Bowl this evening.

The Students, whose only league win before tonight came against Shamrock Rovers two weeks ago, have leapfrogged fellow strugglers Shelbourne and Bray thanks to Dean Clarke’s goal in the eighth minute.

The striker received a pass from David McMillan and finished confidently past Dean Delany in the Gypsies goal.

Bohs were unable to conjure up an equaliser and finished the game with ten men after Keith Buckley was red carded for an incident off the ball.

After holding out for all three points, Martin Russell’s side are just one spot off tonight’s opponents in the table.
