Donegal so desperate for All-Ireland success they've made a 10-foot tall Sam Maguire

This is quite impressive.

THEY HAVE REALLY missed the Sam Maguire ever since it left Donegal last year. So much so, Anthony Barrett has built a 10-foot tall, 12-foot wide version made from stone.

Barrett, who owns a farm in Newtowncunningham in Co. Donegal, told the BBC the creation took three months to complete.

โ€œItโ€™s my wee treat because of my love of football,โ€ he said.

However, whisper it around the hills of Donegal, but Barrett is a Tyrone man and his daughter plays for the Tyrone minors so the 56-year old will probably be hoping the real trophy ends up with the Red Hands rather than Jim McGuinnessโ€™ men.
