'None of your business' - Gerrard gave Geoff Shreeves nothing after Liverpool's win

Liverpool’s skipper keeps his feet on the ground after a big, big win in the title race.

EMOTIONS WERE STILL running high when Steven Gerrard faced Geoff Shreeves and the Sky Sports cameras.

But Liverpool’s skipper refused to get sucked into title talk after a crucial 3-2 win against Manchester City.

Philippe Coutinho’s goal moved them seven points clear of City, who have played two games less, but Gerrard wouldn’t be drawn when asked if the title is Liverpool’s to lose.

“That is such a big result for us,” he said. “We’ve got four cup finals left. People said that this was the biggest one but I disagree, I think the biggest one now is Norwich.

“We’ll let other people comment and have opinions on whose it is to lose and who’s in pole position – I’ll leave that to your experts.

“Nothing’s ours. You know that. Nothing’s ours yet.”

Gerrard was just as coy when asked what he said to his team-mates in an emotional post-match huddle.

“None of your business.

“I think you know what I said to them players in that huddle, Geoff. The important thing now is not to get carried away.
