Hunt handed lifeline by McCarthy at Ipswich Town

The Ireland winger has finally found a club after being let go by Wolves in the summer.

STEPHEN HUNT HAS joined Ipswich Town on a short-term deal, the club has confirmed.

The 32-year-old Waterford native has signed a contract until January after impressing while training with the Championship side over the past couple of weeks.

The Ireland international, who hasn’t featured in recent international squads, was let go by relegated Wolves at the end of last season and despite a number of rumoured moves, has been without a club since then.

Tractor boys manager Mick McCarthy will have the winger available to face Blackpool tomorrow.
