Brilliant goal by Mossy Quinn for Vincent’s!

St Vincent’s 1-1 Garrycastle 0-1
Fine start by the favourites. Mossy Quinn skins the Garrycastle corner-back and races clear before planting the ball in the top corner of the net. Then Shane Carthy clips over a point and Vincent’s go four clear. Garrycastle have just replied with Matthew Guiheen pointing after good work from talisman Dessie Dolan.

Couple of goal chances for Vincent’s but they’ve missed both. Shane Carthy’s first one was difficult as he toe poked through a crowded goal and Cathal Mullin got down to save with his feet. Then Gavin Burke galloped through before firing into the side netting. Garrycastle breathe a big sigh of relief.

Dessie Dolan still has that attacking sparkle as he runs to the corner to evade the Vincent’s defence, gathers a long direct pass and curls over a point.

Again Vincent’s come close to hitting the net. Diarmaid Connolly is fouled and takes a quick free to Ciaran Dorney who cuts through the defence before dragging a shot across goal under pressure.

St Vincent’s looking really slick in their movement. Ger Brennan gets a break from a kickout, charges forward into space and when he feeds Gavin Burke, the ball is expertly popped over the bar.

Game on now as Dessie Dolan points a free and then breaks clear to bury a great goal!

Penalty for St Vincent’s after Ruairi Trainor is fouled, black card for Garrycastle goalkeeper Cathal Mullin.
