Don’t touch that dial… here’s the sport on TV this weekend

If the weather stays fine, feel free to use this a reminder of what you’re missing while you top up your farmer’s tan.
  • One to sit in for: If you’re even considering plans for Sunday afternoon, stop. Stop right now. If you can’t be in Croke Park, the next best thing is to plonk yourself on the couch (or on a barstool) and watch the hurlers of Kilkenny and Galway tear strips off each other to win the Liam McCarthy Cup. We’re surprised we even had to make this point.
  • One to Sky-plus: The NFL is back (wahay!) which means a few more sleep-deprived Sunday evenings and groggy Monday mornings. If you’re planning on hitting the hay early this weekend, make sure you record the San Francisco 49ers trip to the Green Bay Packers.
  • One to skip: Kazakhstan v Ireland? Nah, we’ll be watching that. The T20 cricket between England and South Africa tomorrow might be a casualty though.
