I actually agree Bernard. Rugby played by females has been happening for about 25 years now but most people would never have heard of it. That is down to lack of coverage of the game and lack of promotion by the IRFU. The GAA are streets ahead.

That would be wrong. Women should not be playing in a spirt to demonstrate their physical capacity. It’s wrong. It’s a mans sport.

@Poppy, what has women playing rugby got to do with political correctness? I think you are saying women shouldn’t play rugby because its a man’s game? The same attitude had women restricted to running no further than 800 metres in the Olympics up to quite recently. You say be comfortable with what you are…. Judging by the photos here these women are very comfortable with who they are so what’s the problem?
