Sky Sports signs four-year RaboDirect Pro12 deal

The subscription channel will begin broadcasting matches at the start of the 2014/15 season.

SKY SPORTS HAS signed a four-year deal to air live RaboDirect Pro12 matches from 2014/15.

The subscription channel will show 30 games-a-season as well as the semi-finals and final of the competition, which sees the Irish provinces take on sides from Wales, Scotland and Italy.

RTÉ and TG4 currently hold the rights to show Pro12 fixtures in Ireland but Sky’s move means viewers will now have additional choice as to where they want to watch games.

John Feehan, Chief Executive of RaboDirect PRO12, said: ”We are delighted to welcome Sky Sports to the RaboDirect PRO12 family.

“Our competition is growing from strength to strength and we feel this partnership with Sky Sports will allow us to extend the reach of the RaboDirect PRO12 in the UK and Ireland.”
