6 Nations golden moments: Shaggy snatches the Triple Crown in 2006

What we wouldn’t give for a repeat of this magic in Twickenham on St Patrick’s Day…

AS WE COUNT down to Saturday’s Six Nations kick-off, we’re reliving one of our favourite tournament memories every day this week. What better way to whet the appetite…

On our trip down Six Nations memory lane, we’ve been good and deliberately avoided mentioning Ireland. Until now.

With due deference to the historic win against England in Croke Park, today we turn the clock back to Twickenham in 2006. With less than two minutes to play and the Triple Crown on the line, Ireland trailed a fairly average England team 24-21.
