SIMON ZEBO MADE his return to international rugby last Saturday in Ireland’s 29-17 win over Argentina in Resistencia.
In his first appearance for Ireland for almost a year, the 24-year-old completed the 80 minutes of action and demonstrated some of his attacking skill, particularly with a sublime offload to Darren Cave in the second half.
Zebo’s most recent Ireland cap before last weekend came against the US on the 9th of June, 2013. The Cork man will now be hoping to add to his tally of seven international outings in the second Test against los Pumas on Saturday.
“I’m delighted to be given the opportunity by Joe [Schmidt] and just happy to be back in the set-up,” said Zebo. “It’s great that we got the first win over here, so hopefully [we can] build on that going into next week.”
