The Irish international’s strike against Wigan tonight was a thing of real beauty.

LESS THAN A week after his new team-mate Lewis McGugan hit this screamer against Bolton, Ireland striker Simon Cox produced this top-class finish for Nottingham Forest in their Capital One (formerly the Littlewoods, Rumbelows, Coca-Cola, Worthington, Carling) Cup second round tie against Wigan this evening.

On a good night for the Boys in Green, James Collins (3), James McClean (2), Shane Long (2), Jon Walters, Wes Hoolahan, Billy Clarke and Kevin Kilbane were all on the scoresheet in their respective games.
