THE 2014 SETANTA Sports Cup quarter-final draw was made this afternoon.
Earlier this week, the future of the competition was brought into doubt after Northern Irish clubs Cliftonville and Linfield opted to pull out of the tournament due to timing and prize money.
However, they were quickly replaced by the next eligible teams – Ballinamallard United and Coleraine – to complete the eight team draw consisting of four teams from the Airtricity League and four from the Danske Bank Premiership.
Today’s draw saw current champions Shamrock Rovers take on Glentoran, while 2012 winners Crusaders will meet Sligo Rovers. Dundalk face newcomers Coleraine and Airtricty League champions St Patrick’s Athletic face Ballinamallard United.
- Shamrock Rovers v Glentoran
- Crusaders v Sligo Rovers
- Dundalk v Coleraine
- Ballinamallard v St Patricks Athletic
The first legs will take place on Monday, 24 February with the return legs scheduled for Monday, 10 March
