MANCHESTER CITY CLOSED on top spot in the Premier League table on Saturday by overpowering leaders Arsenal 6-3 in a remarkable encounter at the Etihad Stadium.
Goals from Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo, David Silva, Yaya Toure and two from Fernandinho lifted City to within three points of the summit, with Theo Walcott replying twice for the Gunners, along with Per Mertesacker.
The latest goal-fest means that City have now scored 31 times in their last six league and cup matches at home — a staggering average better than five per game.

Stick up the arsenal goal aswell please. Stuck listening to the match on my radio.
There you are.
Cheers Ben. No need to put up the 3rd goal.
Gunners are still here. We didn’t play well today. But we kept our heads up. Far more positive than most who’ve come to the Etihad. I love how people have been looking to write us off at any chance. Today we played some good stuff at times. We were unlucky with some decisions and lost to a team whose home record is impeccable. Yes we’ve got problems. Yes we need to be better. But please give over with the senseless goading.
Fair play Sean.Right you are.Genuinely as much chance of winning the league as anybody in the top four.As a Liverpool fan I’m just wanting teams to drop points to be honest.Long way to go for the lot of us.Except United fans of course!
Long way to fall you mean Motley
Silly me
Where the gooners gone!?
