AC MILAN TASTED defeat in Toronto last night as the fell, 3-0, to Olympiakos. The Italians, who are now coached by Pippo Inzaghi, missed a number of good scoring opportunities but could not argue with the manner of their loss.
The Rossoneri players would have been eager to slink off the BMO Field pitch as soon as the third goal rocketed in — a stunner from Andreas Bouxalakis – and the game edged towards injury time. One foolhardy Udinese supporter had other ideas, however, as he sprinted out onto the pitch.
The fan was eager to meet up with Milan midfielder Stephan El Shaarawy and almost took the Italian out with a clumsy sliding tackle [see video below]. El Shaarawy kept his footing however and posed for a selfie on the pitch as security guards rounded on the phone-wielding fan.
Memento now secured in his phone, the fan gave himself up to the visi-vest security guards without a fight.
One hopes this dreary episode does not spark a trend.
