SEANIE JOHNSTON PLAYED roughly 40 seconds of a club hurling game in Kildare on Saturday, leaving him eligible to play for the Kildare footballers against Meath on Sunday.
The former Cavan star began Coill Dubh’s match against Eire Og Corrachoill but was removed after less than a minute, having not even touched the ball.
Coill Dubh are affiliated to Johnston’s new football side St. Kevin’s.
Twitter has not taken kindly to a move seen by most as cynical at best, and totally at odds with the ethos of the GAA at its worst.
