WATERFORD FAVOURITE Seamus Prendergast has today called time on his intercounty career, according to the Waterford News & Star.
The 32-year-old won four provincial medals with the Déise though an All-Ireland medal proved elusive for the swashbuckling side of the noughties.
The Ardmore clubman was introduced as as sub in the draw against Cork this summer and featured in the replay defeat and subsequent qualifiers against Laois and Wexford.
His four Munster medals came in 2002 — a year after his senior debut — as well as 2004, 2007 and 2010.
