UCC FITZGIBBON CUP winner Seamus Harnedy and Peter O’Brien are the new faces in the Cork hurling attack for Sunday’s Allianz Hurling League Division 1A clash with Waterford.
The Rebels travel to the Fraher Field in Dungarvan to face Michael Ryan’s side at 2pm.
And manager Jimmy Barry-Murphy has freshened up his forward line for the game despite their comprehensive opening round win over Tipperary.
O’Brien, who enjoyed an impressive campaign with his club Kildorrery who won last year’s Cork and Munster junior hurling titles, makes his league debut for Cork at full-forward.
O’Brien has extensive experience with Cork at underage level while he featured in the 2007 Fitzgibbon Cup final for NUI Galway.
Harnedy last week was part of UCC’s Fitzgibbon Cup winning side as the St Ita’s clubman collected his second successive medal in the third-level competition.
He will make his first league start at left half-forward on Sunday and caught the eye while playing against Cork for UCC in the Waterford Crystal Cup in January when he shot 0-5.
