The NFL is nearly back, and Mark Sanchez is already throwing interceptions

Sanchez’s first pre-season drive ended in a ‘Pick 6′ interception last night.

NEW YORK JETS fans, look away now; everyone else, gather around for a bit of a giggle.

The Jets kicked off their pre-season against the Detroit Lions last night with a chance for quarterback Mark Sanchez to prove that this season will be different.

We like to present the facts in a fair and balanced manner so here’s how Sanchez’s first drive ended. Judge for yourself:

Again in the interests of fairness and balance, we should point out that Sanchez finished with 10/13 completed passes and a touchdown.

It wasn’t much better for rookie QB Geno Smith who hobbled off in the third quarter with an injured ankle.

Oh, and the Jets lost 26-17.
