ARSENE WENGER HAS been charged with improper conduct by UEFA following his post-match criticism of the referee in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Milan.
Despite their comfortable victory, the north London side dropped out of the Champions League on aggregate as they failed to overturn a 4-0 first-leg deficit.
And Wenger vented his frustration about referee Damir Skomina after the match, claiming the Slovenian official was the reason for his side’s elimination.
Skomina awarded Milan 21 free-kicks, a number which Wenger insisted was unreasonable. The Arsenal manager is likely to receive a touchline ban from UEFA, a move which would represent a third such sanction for the Frenchman in the last year.
