Poll: Who should win RTÉ Manager of the Year tonight?

Jimmy’s winning matches but Billy’s winning medals. And there’s plenty more candidates for the big prize.

DRUMROLL PLEASE! THE votes have been counted and the RTÉ Sports Manager of the Year award will be presented to one coach this evening in Montrose.

The award was selected by a panel of representatives from 18 national media outlets — including TheScore.ie — with the result revealed at tonight’s annual ceremony in Donnybrook.

But before that happens, who do you think it should go to? The competition is fierce this year; here’s the shortlist:

Poll Results:

Mick Cooke, Drogheda United (705)
Eamonn Ryan, Cork ladies football (631)
Jim McGuinness, Donegal (575)
Billy Walsh, Olympic boxers (353)
JJ Doyle, Wexford camogie (189)
Joe Schmidt, Leinster (156)
Brian Cody, Kilkenny (96)

Here’s the cast of TheScore.ie’s very own nativity play

Merry Christmas, Brian! It’s the sporting tweets of the week
