A LOT OF people like to say that they have principles but Stephen Evans, son of former Liverpool boss Roy, showed just how much he values his own.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Evans quit his sales job after he discovered the company had become affiliated with The Sun during a leave of absence from work. Rather than sell products for The Sun, Evans walked away from the job.
In the aftermath of the Hillsborough disaster, which claimed the lives of 96 fans, The Sun wrote many damning articles about Liverpool fans that ultimately proved to be false. Many Liverpool fans still hold a great deal of hatred for the newspaper as a result.
Stephen’s dad Roy, who coached the Reds in the 90′s, tweeted in support of his son.
Stephen Evans, who attended the tragic game, has also commented.
