ROG escapes punishment for 'challenging match officials'

The Racing Metro coach had to face a disciplinary committee after an incident against Toulon last month.

RONAN O’GARA WON’T be punished further for an incident involving the officials during Racing Metro’s win against Toulon last month.

O’Gara was brought before a disciplinary committee with a charge of ‘challenging match officials’ but the committee found that there was no need to punish the Racing Metro coach.

O’Gara’s behaviour during the Toulon game had been mentioned in the reports of two match officials but O’Gara is free to be on the touchline for Racing’s next league game against Toulouse this Saturday.

Racing currently occupy sixth place in the Top 14 table but have only won three of their first five games.
