Euro Vision: 5 continental games not to be missed this weekend

We’ve got some tasty ones from Italy, Spain and Germany.

Serie A: Juventus v Fiorentina and Roma v Napoli

Sunday, 11.30am and Sunday, 7.45pm

The top four sides in Serie A are all in action against each other on Sunday. Juventus, who are 11 points clear at the top, entertain 4th placed Fiorentina in a dress rehearsal ahead of the sides’ Europa League last 16 clash next Thursday.

Fiorentina are aiming to do the double over Juventus after their 4-2 league win earlier in the season when the sides clashed. Juventus have won their last three games in a row, including a 2-0 win away to AC Milan last Sunday.

On Sunday night, third placed Napoli are at home to Roma, who are currently six points ahead in second place. Rafael Benitz’s side are hoping to bridge that gap against a team they have also played a game more than. The sides have already met three times this season with the home team winning on each occasion.

La Liga: Real Valladolid v Barcelona and Real Madrid v Levante

Saturday, 3pm and Sunday, 6pm

Barcelona have a chance to go back to the top of the table tomorrow afternoon when they travel to face Real Valladolid. A 4-1 win last Sunday at home to Almeria helped Barcelona get back to winning ways after their defeat to Real Sociedad the previous week.

Barcelona will be favoured to win considering Real Valladolid are currently in relegation trouble in 18th position. Gerardo Martino’s side are currently only a point adrift of Real Madrid, who can stay top if they beat Levante on Sunday night. Levante are currently eighth in the table.

Barcelona are in Champions League action next Wednesday at home to Manchester City while Real Madrid are not in European action again until they entertain Schalke on March 18th.

Bundesliga: Wolfsburg v Bayern Munich

Saturday, 5.30pm

Bayern Munich are 20 points clear at present in the Bundesliga and their next test comes away to 5th placed Wolfsburg tomorrow. Last Saturday, Pep Guardiola brought his side to face Schalke – one place above Wolfsburg – and Bayern were four goals to the good after just 28 minutes with David Alaba, Arjen Robben (2) and Mario Mandzukic all netting.

Bayern Munich ended up winning 5-1 and will be strongly fancied to do so again here. Wolfsburg will hope to bounce back from their 6-2 defeat away to Hoffenheim last Sunday and they had won three games on the bounce before that.
