No way Bale is in the ronaldo category so James would slip into the Bale category as overpriced!

The worst time to sign a player is after a good world cup – there are a lot of players who shine and then have average club form after

Could probably buy every refugee in the world a chicken supper or two with that kind of money.

Serious young lad though, Real Madrid will be a very difficult team to beat this season in any competition.

Ronaldo will be 30 in February and although he’s super fit and looks after himself , 2 more season at Madrid I’d say and he’ll move on , so Madrid will mould Rodriguez as his replacement

It’s actually insane how different a level real and barca are on compared to everyone else when it comes to transfers, when they want a player most of the time no matter what they get that player regardless of price, 80 million is insane money that’s what they paid for Ronaldo and the two don’t even compare what’s so ever, can’t even begin to imagine what prices players will be in 20/30 years time the inflation is insane.

They both get about 150 million each year for tv money since the spanish league is done individually so have plenty of money for players,i think it is being changed so its collective and split more evenly among the teams. There should be some kind of spending cap put in place or do like a lot of other sports where you have a salary cap.The way things are going the gap will only get bigger between the big teams and the small teams.financial fair play is just a waste, they leave to much room for them to find loophole around it,yet they come down harder on the small teams struggling just to keep going yet just give a slap on the wrist to those with money to burn who break it by splashing out on massive transfers
