Your 'Nice Touch Roberto' Pic of the Day

The out-going manager took out an ad in the MEN to express his gratitude to fans.

OUT-GOING MANCHESTER CITY manager Roberto Mancini may not be remembered fondly by the club’s players, but their supporters will likely look back on the coach in a more favourable light.

And the Italian has consolidated his reputation as a fan favourite by posting an ad in the most recent edition of the Manchester Evening News, thanking City supporters for the continual good will they’ve shown towards him during his tenure as boss.

As a long standing City fan , I believe in my heart that Bobby Manc was hard done by. I think the decision to sack him was made long before the defeat to Wigan in the FA CUP FINAL. The players didn’t step up to the next level & at times were only going through the motions. Some of them need to take a REAL GOOD LOOK at themselves for the performances that they put in. He’ll always be remembered by those that really matter… The true fans.. He might be gone ,,,,BUT HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
