Robbie Keane trains with St Sylvesters GAA club

The Ireland player is understood to have gone for “a gentle jog” with the team’s senior footballers.

FOR SOMEONE WHO is meant to be on his post-season holidays, Robbie Keane’s been a busy man of late.

When he’s not backing Stephanie Roche or announcing friendlies with Shamrock Rovers, he’s showing up at St Sylvesters GAA club.

Keane was pictured on the Malahide club’s Twitter, holding up his very own jersey, while a statement on their website described how “the American Major League Soccer MLS Player of the Year Robbie Keane dropped by Broomfield for a gentle jog with our senior footballers”.

While it’s a start in the GAA world for Keane, he still has a long way to go to match the feats of his Ireland teammate and former Tipperary minor player Shane Long.
