Robbie Brady out of Ireland squad due to injury

The Hull City winger is suffering from a groin issue, according to Marco Tardelli.

ROBBIE BRADY’S SEASON is over, Marco Tardelli confirmed today.

The Ireland assistant manager confirmed after squad training in Dublin that the Hull City winger has been forced to withdraw from the squad ahead of the international friendly with Georgia on Sunday.

“Robbie Brady has a little problem and tomorrow he’s going back home,” says Giovanni Trapattoni’s assistant. “The problem? Maybe there is a groin [issue], it’s not serious —  but it’s better there is no risk.”

Tardelli says there is no need to call anyone else up to replace the former Man Utd player as ‘we have many players.” One of the stars of the creditable 1-1 draw at Wembley in midweek, David Forde, sat out the session but Tardelli insisted it was: “just a rest, tomorrow we decide the team and it was better for him to rest.”
