AT 41 YEARS old, Brazilian World Cup and Ballon d’Or winner Rivaldo is nowadays the chairman of Sao Paolo-based third division club Mogi Mirim — where he is also enjoying his third spell as a player.

Last night, the former Barcelona star came on as a substitute in their 1-1 league draw with XV de Piracicaba to share the same pitch as his 18-year-old son Rivaldinho for the first time.

The hat-trick against Valencia to win 3-2, capped with a bicycle to win in the 89th minute, on the last game of the season, to put Barca into the Champions League the next year slightly overrides it for me

Last game of the season, Barca under all sorts of pressure at the time and this goal guaranteed them Champions League football. One of the great moments in football I was lucky enough to witness.
    Some player in his day.
