Aprés Match's take on Richie Sadlier is like a spaced-out Bono

Their Darragh Maloney character is terrific though.

CARDS ON THE table: we really like Richie Sadlier’s punditry.

At times he seems like the only one allowed into Montrose while still holding the ability to see sense and another person’s point of view.

Perhaps it’s that worldview that makes it difficult to see a Sadlier character come through in this Aprés Match sketch. It feels more like Eamo in slow-motion or a spaced-out Bono… Maybe it’ll grow on us.

Odd moments of brilliance but for the large part Apres Match gone to the dogs. Some of their scripted stuff is great but their improv is crap. Borderline cringeworthy at times during this WC. Almost feels like “feck it lads we get paid anyway why make the effort”. When u compare it to the likes of Gift Grubs Sky Sports Gaa coverage or other acts it just doesnt compare anymore.
