Foley and Mahony drafted into Waterford hurling side for Westmeath qualifier

The Deise travel to Mullingar next Saturday.

RICHIE FOLEY RETURNS to the Waterford senior hurling side for Saturday’s All-Ireland qualifier against Westmeath.

Foley, who has been hampered by injury for much of this season, came on as a substitute in last Saturday’s victory  over Offaly in Phase 1 of the qualifiers in Tullamore.

The Abbeyside player comes into the side at midfield for the Phase 2 tie against Westmeath in Cusack Park in Mullingar.

His inclusion sees Paudie Prendergast switch to wing-back with Jamie Nagle the player to make way.

The other change in the side is in attack with Pauric Mahony returning to the side at centre-forward with Jamie Barron dropping out of the starting fifteen.
