IRELAND MANAGER GIOVANNI TRAPATTONI has confirmed that Richard Dunne will miss the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and Austria.
Trapattoni revealed the bad news when he made an appearance at the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre in Drogheda tonight.
The Italian will have to plan without the Aston Villa defender, who has struggled with injuries since Euro 2012, for the two matches later this month.
Trapattoni said Marc Wilson, who has recovered from a leg break and is back in action for Stoke, and Evertonโs Seamus Coleman will both be named in the Ireland squad for the qualifiers.
The full Irish squad is due to be named at midday tomorrow.
Earlier today, the FAI announced Ireland will play Georgia in a home friendly on 5 June.
As Greame Souness would say.. Weโre going to be raped
Clark and St. Ledger so. Backs to the wall lads!
We will still sing out hearts out in Stockholmโฆ..
Whats more important?Singing or winning? If its The Eurovision song contest your after then I have to inform you that the bad news is that youve deluded yourself into thinking it was affiliated with soccer.
Irelande nil point.
Ibrahimovic vs St Ledger should be good for a few laughs.

Heโs missing a lot.
Weโll be grand!! Sweden arenโt amazing, bar Ibrahimovic, who is amazing. They donโt have many top stars. I fancy is to get at least a draw, might even nick it by the odd goal
