Ireland defender Richard Dunne takes no part in training in Gdynia

Those infernal blisters again.

RICHARD DUNNE PLAYED no part in training with Ireland on Monday, following Sunday nightโ€™s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Croatia in Poznan.

The Aston Villa defender appeared to be limping at the end of the match and watched on from the sidelines on Gdynia.

In his press conference on Monday evening, manager Giovanni Trapattoni confirmed that the former Manchester City captain is โ€œfine, itโ€™s just blisters.โ€

Trapattoni put the Irish players through a gentle training session on the morning after a disappointing night in Poland.

The Italian will now hope that Dunne, who was far from at his best against Mario Mandzukic, Nikica Jelavic et al, recovers in time to face Spain on Thursday.

Agreed Paul โ€“ did he make one pass ? โ€“ hoof the ball every time and give it back to Croatia โ€“ we made them look good โ€“ so painful to watch.
