BEING THE BEST player in the world doesn’t necessarily mean you will be the highest paid, as this list proves.
As accurate as his right foot has been for over a decade, David Beckham wouldn’t have been fit to clean Lionel Messi’s boots even in his heyday.
However, as a 36-year-old who has played in MLS for the past five seasons, Brand Beckham is still going strong – he earns over €5m more than the Argentine wizard.
