IT’S BEEN A GOOD NIGHT for the British sides in the Champions League. A lacklustre Manchester United grabbed only their second victory ever away to Spanish opponents, a late strike from sub Javier Hernandez giving them all three points with a 1-0 win against Valencia. Tottenham beat FC Twente 4-1 at home with goals from Rafael van der Vaart, Gareth Bale, and two penalties from Roman Pavlyuchenko. Rangers also bagged a win, beating Bursaspor 1-0 at Ibrox through Steven Naismith.
