Hiddink would be coup of the century in fairness! His record is ridiculous and he has the ability to create sides that vastly exceed the sum of their individual parts (S.Korea 2002, Australia 2006). Oh, and his teams usually play decent ball too. He’d be perfect but a little out of our price range I’d imagine.

And on one hand, you would have to question his motivation and drive but on the other, he definitely wouldn’t blackmail the FAI for a new contract before a tournament like Trapattoni and he wouldn’t stick around for a huge payoff when the writing is on the wall like Trapattoni and he has actually adapted to modern football, unlike Trapattoni.

Without doubt it would be Rene! Granted he lacks the international experience etc, but he was highly rated at utd, had a great appetite to succeed at all levels, would make sure the youth structure would be highly organised, run well and reap results, plus he’ll be raring to go asap! Big challenge if he gets it but I’d be over the moon if we get him!

Won’t Be Rene , apparently he’s in talks with Fulham to join the coaching staff, but if you ask me the owners are just getting there man in place for when Jol is gone .
