QPR HAVE ISSUED a statement denying that three of their players are set to give evidence in the John Terry racism controversy.
Various newspapers in the UK reported that Paddy Kenny, Clint Hill and Shaun Derry were all set to appear before the FA amid reports that the England captain racially abused Hoops defender Anton Ferdinand.
However, the three players are said to be furious that they have been dragged into the situation, with a spokesman saying: “There is no truth in these stories whatsoever.
“None of the three players have been called to give evidence or will be called to give evidence.”
Derry was not even on the field of play at the time the incident is said to have taken place.
While Terry admits he used certain words he was reported to have uttered, he says he spoke them in the form of a denial after Ferdinand accused him of a racial slur.
Bizarrely, Ferdinand told his club that he was entirely unaware of any race row until after the game on Sunday, prompting the London side to refer the matter to the FA.
