Here are all the highlights from a dramatic weekend of Pro12 action

Munster claimed the only Irish victory on the second week of the season, here’s how it all unfolded.

Zebre 21 – 43 Munster

You can only play what’s in front of you, and for the second of two weeks Munster again capitalised fully.

The southern province proudly sit atop the table with 10 points out of 10 thanks to a stunning 32-point second half haul in Parma.

Rob Penney’s side haven’t quite looked as sharp in defence as they are in attack and that was brought home by two quite sloppy Zebre touchdowns.

The reds have remained in Italy for part two of their Italian job and will likely field a stronger side in an effort to avenge the hammering sustained against the premier Italian club last season.

Cardiff 21 – 10 Connacht

Despite Matt Healy claiming his second try in as many games to give the westerners a half time lead on the new artificial surface at Arm’s Park, Connacht come returned home with nothing.

For that, the Blues have young out-half Rhys Patchell and his impressive display of goal-kicking to thank.

Pat Lam will hope that he can claim his second win when Connacht return to the Sportsground for the first inter-pro of the new season next Saturday.

Ulster 12 – 13 Glasgow

If they had any medals to their name, you’d swear the Warriors were showing the mark of Champions. On both Pro12 games so far this season, they have been locked in an arm-wrestle, but manage to break clear and claim a decisive seven points at a pivotal point in the game.

On Friday night, Ulster were the victims, Though perhaps they had already shot themselves in the foot by coughing up certain tries as Luke Marshall and Michael Allen coughed up the ball.

Next up, Mark Anscombe takes his side to Galway – not a venue you ever want to be going desperate. Glasgow meanwhile, meet another unbeaten side when they welcome Leinster to Scotstoun.

Ospreys 29 – 29 Leinster

The game of the weekend took place on Saturday night at the RDS where the Ospreys once again refused to be awed and ensured their head-to-head record against the reigning champions now says two defeats in nine.

Typically of these meetings, the Welsh side refused to be shaken off when their hosts looked rampant. It was also typical that it should again all come down to a last-ditch Dan Biggar kick.

Leinster head for Glasgow hoping to overhaul the one-point gap between the sides. Ospreys can finally enjoy home advantage when they host Edinburgh after going unbeaten against Treviso and Leinster.

And the rest…

Llanelli 26 – 10 Treviso

14 points down in 15 minutes was nightmare start for the Italians at Parc y Scarlets and the hosts were able to keep them at arm’s length for the majority the game that followed Gareth Davies’ two quick-fire scores.

Franco Smith’s side head home to plan for Munster as they Scarlets make their first trip of the new season, the short journey to Newport.

Edinburgh 16 – 13 Dragons

The battle of last season’s strugglers brought, well, a struggle in Murrayfield as both sides gave up a host of penalties.

Tim Visser and Richie Rees did manage to make a notch in the try-scoring column, but fittingly, it was a late Harry Leonard penalty which brought all four points the hosts’ way.

The Scots will again head to the home of one of the favourites for a play-off spot next week when they visit the Ospreys. Dragons will host Scarlets in the season’s first Welsh derby.
