Poll: Is Aston Villa a good move for Robbie Keane?

With reports emerging that the star is set to sign a two-month loan deal with the club, we’re asking if the move will be beneficial for the striker.

ROBBIE KEANE HAS agreed to join Aston Villa on a two-month loan deal, according Mark McCadden in today’s Irish Daily Star (print edition).

The star currently has two free months, with the MLS season having ended, and looks set to leave LA Galaxy temporarily to join fellow Irish internationals Shay Given, Richard Dunne and Ciaran Clark at Villa.

Sources close to the player suggest he will fly in to Birmingham later this week to put pen to paper, despite previously indicating that he would spend his two months off resting in preparation for Ireland’s upcoming Euro 2012 games this summer.

The prospective move follows similar deals involving other MLS stars going on loan to Premier League clubs recently, including Landon Donovan and Thierry Henry.

With this in mind, do you think the Aston Villa move will be good for Keane?
