POLL: Did Brendan Rodgers make the right call to drop Steven Gerrard for today's game?

The club captain is on the bench for today’s game with Stoke.

STEVEN GERRARD HAS been dropped for Liverpool’s Premier League game against Stoke at Anfield today.

Brendan Rodgers has defended the decision, insisting the veteran midfielder “can’t play in every game”.

Nevertheless, despite the Liverpool boss playing down its significance, leaving out Gerrard is undoubtedly a big decision.

The club legend has been a virtual ever-present in the Reds’ team since bursting on the scene as a teenager.

The ex-England international was moved further forward from his usual defensive midfield position in the Champions League during the week, amid a number of below-par performances.

And now, he has been dropped from the starting lineup completely, as Liverpool search for a much-needed win in today’s game.

So what do you think? Was Brendan Rodgers right to drop Gerrard for this afternoon’s match?
