Police to study video evidence in Terry-Ferdinand race row

The 20 cameras used during Chelsea’s match with QPR will be studied as part of the investigation.

POLICE WILL LOOK at video evidence in a bid to determine whether John Terry is guilty of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand.

The Daily Mail reports that police will follow the FA’s lead by studying footage from 20 cameras in QPR’s 1-0 win over Chelsea at Loftus Road.

Allegations against Terry were made by a member of the public, while Ferdinand has only said publicly that he has “strong feelings” on the matter, without elaborating as to his stance on the issue.

Terry had previously admitted to using a racial expletive, but claims it was said only in the context of his dismissal of racist allegations against him.

The player faces the prospect of potentially losing the England captaincy for the second time if he is found guilty, after he was initially reprimanded for his alleged affair with the ex-girlfriend of his then-England teammate, Wayne Bridge.
