Podge played all three of the countyโs opening league games as they sought promotion from division 4, although his appearances have reduced since then and he missed the league final loss to Tipperary due to a hurling training camp.
Clare hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald had earlier this month suggested that any agreement for dual stars within the county was only in place for the league campaign. But Podge, a hurling All-Star last year, featured in a football challenge match last Wednesday night against Galway in Cusack Park. Clare lost by a point.

One man who will hoping the extra game slows down the Clare attacker is Cork hurler Eoin Cadogan. The defender has revealed that he will be fit and available to line out against Waterford next weekend โ with the winner meeting Collinsโ Clare.
