1. He was dressed as Ian Rush for his stags
He went to west Clare dressed like this last weekend. “My brother is a Liverpool fan and I’m Everton,” he says. “When we were kids he be Ian Rush and I’d be Graeme Sharpe or one of the strikers.
(During the stags) Everytime we pulled in I had to walk in on my own and order a drink. We had a great weekend.”
2. He’s getting married in France on Saturday week
On proposing to his partner Emily, he said: “We went for a picnic with our son Paddy and I had a knee injury at the time so I didn’t get down on one knee which I regret as that’s what people always ask.”

“When I arrived home from the Lions Tour, Emily collected me and played this song. Paddy was singing along in the back.”

It reminds him the recent Lions Tour to Australia. “It’s probably a bit young for me but I like it. It’s a cool song. This would be the first song played when we got on the bus.”

“When we were celebrating winning the Heineken Cup I was in Nancy Blake’s Pub in Limerick and I remember Sky Sports were playing this montage with me and ROG at the end.”
