โIโm very happy obviously getting my first run out,โ the out half said yesterday. โIโm just looking forward to getting on the pitch.
โIโm very honoured to be pulling on the Irish jersey and itโs very good to have a few of the Ulster lads that Iโve grown up with โ Craig and Lukey โ who Iโve known for many years now. So itโs going to be a great day.
โObviously weโve been feeding well through at Ulster but itโs not about Ulster this weekend itโs about Ireland, itโs all about the team coming together on the day so like I say it should be a special day.โ
Skipper Jamie Heaslip is one of three players retained from last weekโs defeat to South Africa at the Aviva Stadium.
Tighthead Mike Ross also returns along with scrum-half Conor Murray and Jackson says heโs enjoyed pairing up with the Munster man this week in training.
โWeโve only been training together the past couple of days but Iโve found it very good playing with him and weโve been gelling well together. Heโs obviously young but heโs got a lot of experience so it should help me a lot on the day,โ he told reporters.
