Roscrea CC 1-14

St. Mary’s Galway 1-7

COLAISTE PHOBAL ROSCREA ran out seven point winners over St. Mary’s College Galway in the first of the Paddy Buggy Cup semi-finals today.

The Galway side actually had the better of the opening exchanges in Whitegate and took a 0-6 to 0-5 lead into the break.

However, Roscrea raced away in the second half to record a comfortable win.

Passion Ballycastle 1-10

St. Fergal’s Rathdowney 0-9

It was a much tighter affair in the second semi-final where Cross and Passion Ballycastle had four points to spare over Laois side St. Fergal’s.

Diarmuid McShane was the hero for the Antrim school as his goal with eight minutes to go proved to be the turning point in a close fought game that saw the sides go in level at five points apiece at half-time.

However, shortly after McShane’s goal an incident involving a St. Fergal’s selector resulted in him being sent off but Ballycastle didn’t let it distract them and will meet Roscrea in the decider.

Salesian College Pallaskenry 1-9

Wexford CBS 1-6

Pallaskenry’s Salesian College defied a strong first-half breeze to claim the Masita All-Ireland Senior C hurling crown in Cashel this afternoon.

Wexford CBS had raced into a two point lead after seven minutes but the Limerick school took a one point lead (1-3 to 0-5) into the break thanks to a goal from Evan McCarthy.

While the sides were briefly level at 1-6 mid-way through the second period, it was Pallaskenry who kicked on with the last three points of the game.
