O'Shea blasts analyst Hayes following cup victory

Player mocks two-time All-Ireland winner for saying his side would lose by “5-7 points”.

IT SEEMS TRUE to say these days that revenge is a dish best served on Twitter.

Mayo footballer Aidan O’Shea last night was the latest sportsman to use the site to settle one particular score, as he derided TV3 analyst Liam Hayes for inaccurately predicting a Roscommon victory in yestersday’s game, with the following tweet:

The player added, via Twitter, that he would not be celebrating his side’s 0-13 to 0-11 win over Roscommon in the Connacht Senior Football Championship final, as he was recovering from a concussion injury that he suffered during the game.

Mayo demonstrated impressive resilience to win yesterday’s final, coming back despite trailing nine points five at half time, with Cillian O’Connor registering eight of their points.
