O’Mahony’s back-heel to Coughlan — outrageous skill or blind luck?

Ronan O’Mahony is fast becoming a star of Munster Rugby.

ON FIRST VIEWING, James Coughlan’s try for Munster against Edinburgh tonight appeared to come served with a big slice of luck.

Then a theory started going around that this was not blind luck, but sublime skill from Ronan O’Mahony to deftly flick the bouncing ball into Coughlan’s grasp.

Niall Kelly thinks the winger ‘did a Zebo’, Cian Tracey cited eight years of football as potential proof to O’Mahony’s intention and Paul McMahon referred to the incident as ‘Pure instinct. Aisling Annacotty tekkers.’

Judge for yourself.
